How AmyT
creates her fused-glass earrings: We start by hand-cutting pieces
of glass in a variety of colors and shapes and layering them.
After being designed, each peice of glass is fired in the kiln.
When it has cooled each earring piece is cut with a special glass saw and then touched
up with a glass grinder to ensure both earring peices match in size.
The glass pieces go back into the kiln to be fire polished
to perfection and digitally kiln annealed for durability.
The finishing touches include earwires and a bail. Our earrings will
either have a manufactored bail glued onto it or a neatly
drilled hole that supports a hand-made bail.
