JewelryByAmyT creates her fused-glass bobby pins by hand-cutting pieces of glass in a variety of colors and shapes and layering them. Many of the glass pieces include dichroic glass in the layers which makes them shimmer and sparkle.

After being designed, each peice of glass is fired in the kiln. When it has cooled each earring piece is cut with a special glass saw, then reshaped and touched up with a glass grinder to ensure the beauty quality is at its best.

Then the glass pieces go back into the kiln to be fire polished to perfection and digitally kiln annealed for durability.

The finishing touch includes the glass piece being glued onto a specially made bobby pin.
